Ray Foster has lived in Oregon most of his life and spends his free time photographing and writing about nature and wildlife around the Northwest. Ray is mostly self-taught, but gives credit to fellow photographers and friends for their help and support.

Ray says, "My passion for photography was born from the times I spent exploring and watching the natural world around me. I've always felt privileged to be able to see God's creations and I feel that it is a bonus to capture those special moments with a camera. All aspects of nature fascinate me, whether I'm watching wildlife and learning about unique behavioral activities or watching nature as it unfolds seasonal displays of grandeur; all facets of nature offer exciting photographic challenges."

Ray is credited with having articles and or pictures published in Oregon Hunter Magazine,
Nature Photographer Magazine, Oregon Fish&Wildlife Magazine, National Wildlife Magazine, Turkey Call Magazine and with pictures in three calendars.
Ray was also one of the winners of the 2005 National Wildlife Federation photo contest and placed first in the 7th Annual National Wild Turkey Federation photo contest.
